Bit of an odd problem regarding my brake light

Used to be when it rained my handbrake light would come on on the dash so I ended up disconnecting it from the handbrake but it seems that if it's wet or damp when I use my heated front screen it will bring up the handbrake light.

This is on a 90 XS so has a factory fitted heated front screen

Anybody got any ideas ?

Strange electrical happenings are invariably due to a poor earth.

Agreed. Check the tightness and cleanliness of the earth conections

Main earth to battery, if that's faulty it's been known for it to use the handbrake cable, before meltdown..

+1 - And ..... if this is the case - you will loose your handbrake
