Binding brake on 109 series 3

Fronf nearside brake binds on when used normally Have put new cylinders, shoes, springs, hub and brake pipes but still it binds. also new master cylinder on servo. No other brakes bind. Could it be shuttle valve? Can not locate a shuttle valve of same type, two pipes in from m/cyl and three pipes out, two to front brakes one to back. Help please

what condition are the drums in? are the springs fitted correctly? have you changed the flexi, have known to be swelled internaly not leting fluid back? is there a kink inthe pipe or has it been crushed slightly?
brakes are sometimes a black magic on landies.

Do you actually mean its binding on or is it pulling to one side when you brake? Stupid question but do you have a pair of backplates? The twin leading shoe brake backplates on the 109 are left & right handed. If one is wrong that brake wont work worth a ****e compared with the other. If you or someone has changed it or the whole swivel housing it could be wrong.

I will go for that as well ,flexi may look fine outside...

thanks for the tip. put new flexi on at the weekend, seems to have done the job. fingers crossed.cheers
