Hiya,

Were looking to import to Europe the biggest mass production
american pickup 4x4 crewcab available.

We have searched around in the usual places, ebay seemed to give us
some guidence and we have noted the chevy/gmc 3500 so far as seeming
to be a main contender.

Do any of your have a suggestion on what other models are worth a look?

Thanks,

Craig.

If you really are that big in business why not spend some k$ for Gartner or
similar to give you a real market analysis?
When asking me, please import Toyota Bandeirantes from southern america ;-)

The largest 4x4 one ton crew cab that I've seen is the Ford F350. Have you
considered a 4x4 van conversion. Take a look at this site
http://www.glinx.com/~sbest/4vanhow.htm

A company in California (I don't have their information handy but I'll find
it if requested) does 4x4 conversions to vans, larger trucks and motorhomes.
Their specialty is 4x4 fire and rescue trucks for rural and military use.
The cost runs about $10,000.00 over and above the cost of the truck and they
only convert new vehicles.

Well, with the key word here being "biggest", I would submit to you the Ford
F-650 Super Crewzer:

Chevy makes a competitor to the F-650, but I don't know what they've named
it.

I forgot about those but I don't think that they qualify as 'pick ups'. They
are a modified 3 ton truck modified for personal fifth wheel trailers. I see
them all of the time pulling fancy trailers through Las Vegas and a lot of
the racing crews are using them to pull their cars and travel trailers. Our
parking lot (Monte Carlo Hotel) gets a bunch of them when there's a big race
in town.
