Between Hippos

Hi

I have recently sold my 52-reg TD4 as I want to buy a facelifted 04/05-reg TD4. After a few years of Hippo ownership I know pretty much what to look out for but can anyone tell me if there is anything different or commonly wrong with the facelifted FL1's?

Is it just the same stuff as a pre-facelift hippo? Anything more reliable or less reliable?

Going to view a couple this week so any advice appreciated!

No major mechanical differences on Facelifters, the main thing is to familiarise yourself with is the various trim levels and what they include as standard. Personally I'd go for nothing less than an SE. You could check out the specs on Autotrader online.

I've found a 2004 brochure so know exactly what I am looking for (SE/Freestyle/HSE). New interior, parking sensors, half leather, elec folding mirrors, etc, etc...

Now that is definitely worth having. Unfortunately I don't & it aint fun in winter.

The one I'm looking at does have heated windscreen so that's one thing to tick off. Can anyone tell me if the facelifted FLs suffer from any of the following which I know are common to pre-facelift cars - and some of which I suffered from with my original FL!

1. Tailgate window issues (regulator/leaking/etc)
2. The 3 Amigos
3. Driveshaft/VCU type issues
