best place for off road action around sheffield

Hi guys and gals, all new to this disco ownership, got a 1995 300tdi. Looking to do a bit of off roading around the sheffield area. Ive never done it before, any advice as to where to start. Are there local meets I could go to, to learn the ropes so to speak. Ta

There's parkwood mr noisy said and there's Rothwell at oulton, not sure how hade you are from frickley or kirton
