Hi, I am one of those silly people who drives my Landy as a daily commuter and then travels a few hundred miles on the weekends to do some camping and fishing, or get the canoe out.
At the moment though I'm a bit stuffed. I have fully rebuilt a series 3 gearbox with an overdrive, and my mechanic has installed it along with a whole new hydraulic clutch system (series 3) with a new clutch.
We cannot get enough travel in the hydraulic system to work the clutch. Tried different slave and master cylinders and nothing is working. There is no air still in the lines. Any one with an idea on this please help. My Landy has a GMH (Holden) 186ci straight 6 in it.

Ask in the Series section but I found when swapping Series 2a and 3 clutch parts around that there was a difference in the length of the pushrod from slave to clutch arm.

From memory it was about 10mm so a longer or extended rod might sort you out
 
Yes, my mechanic was thinking exactly that, a longer pushrod from the slave, but we didn't know HOW much longer. Can you buy such a thing (extended push rod) and are you or any one else sure about the 10mm? Thanks heaps
 
Thinking about it I don't think that'll help, my issue was pushrod too long and holding the clutch slightly open. Too short and you'll push the slave piston out.
 
Yes we have checked the pedal adjustment. We have got everything installed but it looks like it might need to come out again if we can't get this to work.
It seems like there is not enough travel, an adjustable push rod off the slave cylinder would be ideal but I'm sure such a thing doesn't exist.
