 Stopped the car and then noticed a better parking space so restarted and moved twenty feet. Got out, went shopping and when I go back it wouldn't start - not only that but there are no instruments showing at all (exept 'key in ignition') in whatever key position. No lights on the air suspension or any life in the HEVAC SRS. The headlights work and the wipers. The car is not imobilised. I have checked ever fuse both underbonnet and seat side including the two seperate ones. When the key is turned to start I can hear an underbonet relay clicking. Also there does not appear to be any power to the engine ECU.

Anyone with the technical knowledge please???

I know this might sound stupid, but my wife had this one once too. Turns out the 'park' sensor on the automatic gearbox was not quite fully clicked into place. Moving the gear selector into reverse and then back into park mode enabled the switch and hey presto, engine will now start up.
Hope this helps!
Cheers, Richard.

I would ckeck your battery connections and also check the main feed into the under bonnet fuse box as these come loose, you will need to check under the drivers seat any dampness there?another favourite is the connectors in the bottom of a post kick panel drivers side these can go green inside unlatch connector and check inside if grotty clean out with wd40 or descent cleaning spray like carb cleaner or brake cleaning fluid, hope this helps tiga.
