We have recently just completed a cambelt and water pump change on my discovery 3 2.7 tdv6, now we had an issue where the cams moved and when we put the belt on it locked up when turning over by hand.
So we took everything off ,set the timing and put it back together, it now turns over freely and starts , however it now has an awful beating noise but idles correctly.
Is this bent valves ?
