battery

want to fit winch to my 300 tdi have heard a second battery is advisable can anyone tell me if thats right or not cheers

second battery is very advisable if you intend using the winch (often) with the engine switched off.
remember to wire the battery so that it only powers the winch. make sure the first battery is not connected to the winch in any way.
if you dont wire it correctly you can find yourself in the middle of a forest, with a dead car battery, and no starting handle either!
