Battery replacement key fob

hi, hope you don't mind me asking what proberly a fairly simple question.
I picked up a P38a just before Christmas and am still finding my way around her. It came with two key fobs and I've replaced the battery on one (the other doesn't have any batteries) Since changing the battery the remote doesn't work. Is there some procedure I need to follow to get everything working again?

You mi9ght have got the wrong battery's as well, there are similar ones, but there not all the same, check to make sure

2 x TYPE CR-2025 3v
 
Try locking the door with the key and press the lock button while holding in the lock position then unlock with key and press the unlock button on the fob then put key in ignition and start car. stop car remove the key and try locking and unlocking with key fob

You will need to Sync the fob to your vehicle as your vehicles handbook.;)
