I have a 95 D1 w/140,000 while driving the other day I was pulled over and given a warning for no parking lights in the rain. I explained there on then got out and looked and sure enough no lights, I came home checked all fuses, none bad, the next day I inspected the truck and found that I have no instruments, no parking lights, one brake light, and a sluggish start. I pulled the battery charged it and it started fine only to die a few min later. Dead battery again. So I pulled the alternator took it to both auto zone and advanced to be tested. Both places tested and the alternator is good. Is there something that I have missed or could this just be a battery issue?

hi, before you spend money on a new battery try the main earth lead at the back of the battery ive had a few problems and after some sound advice found it was nothing more than a bad earth.
ps i put a new earth wire on to the body as well

ok well the battery was indeed bad, under warranty so freebee, had alternator tested both on and off the truck and it tested fine, I did check the earth behind the battery,"took it loose and cleaned well", still I have no instruments or parking lights, I have checked all fuses and none are bad. is there a relay that runs dash cluster??

..................UPDATE.......................... .
there must really be a Rover God. after much trial and disconnecting and reconnecting I now have my instrument cluster back along with warring lights. However I still do not have any parking lights or the green night time illumination lights on the dash.

Does the light switch control these??
