am going through the causes of battery drain and come across this

if ur battery drops below the normal starting charge level it automatically turns ur battery off

but my concern would be it causing damage to ecus etc

just didn't know if u guys had seen them before

I don't think I would personally buy one as surely it would turn ur alarm off etc

It would stop the alarm working. But once re-powered my Hippo remembers he was alarmed before the power loss.

Does it actually disconnect the battery fully or designed to disconnect additional circuits like fridges etc.

you done the usual multi between neg battery pole and clamp. stick it on current and see what the drain is. then pull fuses until it goes.. being careful not to wipe radio out. :)

one of the tests i done was set my meter onto volts with the battery connected and tested the back of every fuse so didn't have to pull every one

there was a warning about pulling fuses under the bonnet as some of them control the engine management ecus

You wpuld also have to recalibrate the back window every time it cut out!

So the unit does its thing, you press the button to reconnect, which ever type is chosen.... Then power the back window up. The problem I see with that is if it happens on a frosty morning when the window is frozen shut you will most likely snap window cables.
