Banging from the front end!!!

Hi all
My Series 2a is making a banging noise from the front when pulling away, she sometimes judders too only when i pull away though she is fine when she is moving..

Anyone any ideas?

sounds like engine mounts because niose stops when you are moving, i had the same, 1 mount had broken but it only caused a problem in 1st pulling away.

are you sure you havent locked somebody in there?? as you keep referring to it as a HER hmmmm?

My 2a had similar symptoms the other day and it would appear that the handbrake was stuck on as the drum was too hot to touch after only a few yards. It sounded awful as it pulled away but once moving drove ok apart from the slight burning smell!
