Banana door pillars

Hiya folks, I have a problem. What would cause banana shaped door pillars on my old ex military GS109? Is it just the doors being flung open or something more serious?

Will do but this is devils electrickery to me. The door pillars have a slight arc to the front

If it's the whole door pillar which is bowed, I can't imagine the doors doing this. What is the overall condition of the bulkhead like? Worth looking with a torch inside the front wheel arch to make sure the footwell is not rusted / detached from the pillar (my old bulkhead was)
