Had a quick look-see and cant find anything on the series section about this.
What axle/brake options are there for a SWB Series 3. I know the swb has only 10*1.5" drums and the lwb has bigger drums (11*3"?).
They should fit with no problems, but can Disco/Rangie stuff be fitted?
I realise the diffs will fit to a std Rover axle, but are the brakes and swivels swapable? It seems that as the Dibnah has leaking diff seals (easy to fix), but the front swivel balls are corroded and leaking, maybe it would be easier to swap the complete axle fur a lwb one - or is swapping the disks and balls from a disco a feasable option? I assume fitting Disco/Rangie axles complete is not an option, because of the work involved (and the fact that they are wider)?
I currently have servo assisted brakes - so I am hoping that helps.
I am trying to figure out the most cost effective way of a) curing the problems and b) possibly improving the brakes.
