I have a 1978 series 3 88" with rover rear axle.
Diff markings: 2306, PRC1648CA, JW S6 27, ROVER

I removed diff as I had a leak and noticed the threads had stripped holding diff to casing.
I ordered new diff studs (561195 and 561196) but now have an issue.

My axle hasn't got the stud type installed, it has bolts screwed through the casing from inside the axle that are secured with locking wire.

I cant find anywhere no the internet that sells these bolts let alone identify any part numbers as the landrover parts catalogue shows the stud type only.

can anyone help identify these special bolts that have holes drilled through the heads for locking wire? Can I put normal bolts in with a bit of threadlock instead maybe?

advice appreciated.

and found this parts listing in an Australian 1/4 tonne manual:

James, where do you get your numbers from chief? or have you got a landy parts cd memorized in the brain banks :)
