P38A autobox sump

I have a 2.5 p38 diesel and need a replacement sump for the gearbox but cannot find one for a 1997 type with dipstick but can get later type without dipstick will this fit and hold correct amount of oil

Yes but they are a ballache to fill. Better with dipstick. Try Emmotts.

oh dear I'm out of luck with emmots to , never knew that the d2 had the same gearbox though which is surprising well to me anyway

any rrc with 4 speed auto or disco 1 sump will fit as will the later non dipstick type, they are all the same sump apart from the dipstick or not, non dipstick is easier to check level

thanks will have a look again for d1 looks like a ballache time is coming to get a fit

whichever you get they all hold the same amount of oil

Hey Mutz not sure if it's any help mate but if your in a fix and need a sump quick you can have my spare one. Unfortunately it's not got the dip stick but might get you out of a fix?
