auto transmission gone, please help

hi every one, in need of a bit of help here.
got a td5 d2 auto, for a while now there has been a small leek between the transfere box and gear box iv just been topping up with atf when needed until i can get round to replacing inner seal and gasket but the other day the car went into emergency limp home mode on gear box and wont come out of it, i have had this happen before, both manual and sport lights flash constantly, gear selector light and gear display flash as well and the mil light does not come on. normally when this has happened in the past i have cut engine then restarted and all been ok, this time no luck, rave seems to tell me that the warning lights im getting indicate that im not getting the full 9 volts to the system to operate the system, iv tested battery and alternator all good, does any one else have any ideas or can anyone tell me where i should be looking for or testing for any electrical faults, electrics are a bit of a week point with me im afraid but i would be very greatfull for any help, many thanks

if you have no faults with box operation look at xyz switch which is behind where selector cable secures to box lhs
