Thought i would change the oil in my jatco auto box as i.m well past 60,000 miles , so went to the stealer's to get the oil and a new plug seal cost me over £40 for 4ltrs of this liquid gold, now is it me out of touch or is this O T T, it is the L/ Rover ATF 402 and the stuff recommended for this job, also their was a thread on this forum about changing the oil it was very good , ill be dammed if i can find it, oh bye the bee if ya need to top up or change f/rear diffs use the halfords differrential EP 80W/90 but make sure it has GL-5 written as this is the L/Rover standard, and a lot cheaper than L/R liquid gold prices. . .

Lard is good , but heres another one to save ya dosh , for diffs top up or re fill , castrol saf-xo again needs to be gl5 or mtl this is synthetic , s pose other L R s could use this as well [look in ya books] not sure bout tractors though ,[ maybe lard]:) . . ..
