auto gear box td4

Just had my auto box reconditioned by autobox longton Stoke-on-trent and they have done a great job just like new replaced the worn out clutch and replaced the split piston in the auto box i would recomend them any time and i have had work done there before I have posted this just in case any ones needs them although they are not open Saturdays. And there I was the other week say 165.000 and no major problem just goes to show do not shout your mouth off unless it is a absolutly a need

I understand why you said this but it is a bit harsh, if you are happy with the service the price is only relevant to people who want to be nosey...

as might be of interest to some ,piston splitting and clutches are common fault and can be replaced while box still in vehicle,

can they? tell me more any diagrams?

yes they can all clutches apart from one and reverse band are behind cover on passenger side ,box does need mount removing and dropping a bit but are easily accessable then,box can be rinsed out to ,might be able to get a few photos as i have a box cover off at the moment

cool mate photos would be great, I always the whole box had to come out

does for the reverse band if bolt mistakenly removed,or filter change

And how many thousand times have we seen the reverse band bolt removed on service by backstreet garages (and a few main dealers)
