Crikey Mikey, blimey O'Reilly, blooming passenger side window sorted! Having changed the selector switch, gone through virtually all the wiring loom and the entire fuse box to no avail I was about to give up. But finally bit the bullet and changed the regulator....success! £14.50p from E-Spray and £10 for the switch which didn't need replacing! What a result and thank all of you so very much for the advice given and all the diagrams etc provided. Ironically the regulator we took off actually works as well, but not very efficiently.
To think I nearly called in the dreaded auto electrical specailist at what would probably have been a gazzilion pounds per hour. Happy days until the next problem rears it's ugly head.
