Hi there, just been inspecting the 3rd/4th synchro unit on my old box, I have no idea what I'm looking for in terms of wear but one end has a kind of groove worn into the serrated face. The box had an ok change and there was never any obvious issue with the synchro 3rd/4th.
I'm inclined to leave it as is, but seeing as its all apart and would potentially benefit from a new unit, should I replace the unit (or bits of the unit)?
Also while I am at it, does anyone recommend any particular bits to replace while its all apart? I'm doing all the bearings and seals (plus gaskets of course), should I do the distance piece etc...?![Confused  ](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Thanks in advance

Other side (looks to have no groove)
