I am going to be fitting split second row doors to my station wagon projects. I have the ali door tops already which I have rebuilt and am just awaiting my old man to make me up some of the mounting studs, preferably in stainless, so they are ready to use. I am planning on buying galvanised door bottoms from SP panels (LINK). They supplied my galvanised front door bottoms and I was happy with the quality although I know others have been less so reading the forums.
I can buy the capping from paintman (LINK) which is good as it was proving difficult to find any of those second hand anywhere.

This now brings me onto the other things that I will need to build up the door. I have asked previously about door cards and these seem to no longer be available new/aftermarket and non-existent on the second hand market. Although I would ideally like the factory finish like the below pic of @MacStu 's rear doors, without a door card I am not going to be able to do this. I am therefore looking at the series/military style of door latch with the internal handle by your hip but i would like the later anti-burst locks as that is what my galv c-pillar is currently drilled to accept.

My question is can someone confirm my current assumption that the second row door handles the same as the front row STC2871/STC2872.

A follow up quetsions is what check strap setup will i need for these early style doors?

for the middle row there is a no barrel lock option for the anti burst locks. or you can drill a hole and fit the above as they should fit fine. but you could then need a 6 barrel setup to go with it unless your happy with having loads of keys.

think the standard defender check strap will fit YRM do an extended one in SS which should also fit and is good but not 100%.

If it comes with no lock how is the door locked and opened? if you need to do it manually from the locks itself I do not think that will work as you cannot easily reach it form the front.

I currently have a different key for every lock, but was hopeful to get a set of three so at least the back three doors would be on the same. The front doors are series with a thumb turn on the passenger so not sure if I can get matched barrel for that.
