I've fitted an ARB compressor to my car and got the tyre inflation kit. It has pull back type air line fittings like you'd find on air tools in a garage...
BUT the fittings aren't the usual PCL type and I don't know what they are. I want to make a converter so I can use some of my PCL fitted air tools with the compressor (air blower, calibrated tyre inflater etc)

Does anyone know what type they are and where I can get a male type connector that I can connect to a female type pcl connector?

Have you tried machine mart. My local one sells a lot if types of air fitting. I'm assuming if comes with the stubby type one?

Yeah it's that stubby type.

Just remove it and fit a PCL female.

I'll get a pic when I get to the garage but I'm sure I've got mine to 1/4bsp with some adaptors etc.

Will check later, can't remember now!

Here's my setup

I still use the original ARB supplied connector but fitted PCL female to the other end of my airline.

By the way the compressor is crap for filling tyres, takes ages.

No idea if the new style is any better?!

Anyway the pressure switch thread in the housing is 1/4 NPT and then the ARB supplied T piece has a 1/4 NPT male and female on top for the switch, then 1/4 BSP female on the end to accept the airline fitting.

I have Y'd onto this to accept the airline fitting and also a 1/4 BSP to 8mm push fit which runs under to my aux air tank.

PCL fittings are available off the shelf with 1/4 BSPT thread so it should screw straight into the ARB supplied T piece.

Cheers :)

Trust you with the indepth reply buddy! thankyou!

I have the ARB inflater kit that has it's own stubby type couplings - what I'm after is attaching onto the end of that with a converter piece so I can plug my airtools into the air hose if you see what I mean. I guess I need a stubby with a 1/4BSPt male end on it?

My compressor is different from yours. It's their high capacity version. I've not used it or the locker in anger yet so I don't know how it will perform.

I'll take some photos in a bit...

I had another thunk... I have an old black (co2) 2kg fire extinguisher at work... I reckon that should be usable as an air tank and it should fit under a seat too :)
