A good idea. Yer get a nearly new vehicle with a 2 year warranty, 2 year LR breakdown cover and mot fail cover. Yer have to have it serviced propper but the way to get round that is to let a LR main dealer do it. Someone will be along to say EU rules... and yer dun't need to use a LR dealer... but they built it, their dealer serviced/maintained it... their problem if it stops working... = problem free motoring for 2 years. Prices are higher than what yer would pay from an independent or private but if yer looking to buy a newish vehicle on low miles it's a good option available. Be careful if using the finance options as some end up with a large final payment which is aimed at getting yer to trade it in again.

hi i think its worth it too.I have been comparing prices on approved cars and two local 4x4 outlets and theres not a lot of difference in price.Obviously theres a bit but as you say 24 months trouble free running.its worth looking into

Part of the price yer pay includes a bunch of flowers and a 1/2 day oft road at one of LR's experience centres.

We bought our Jeep (yes I know!!) On the approved used scheme. Best thing ever.
Any fault I find, I ring them up, they fetch it, fix it, wash it, and bring it back all under warranty.
I don't care if it's making a slightly odd noise at 30mph whilst driving through a tunnel, it's under warranty, they can check it;)
In fact it's that good I just put another 2 years on the warranty, about £470. But when you consider how much 1 part can be plus labour, that's a bargain. And believe me I'll get my money's worth:)
It looks like it's just rolled of the production line.
Mike
