OSL followed by 3 numbers but no letter on the end means its old, about 1960 or before. If it has OSL then three numbers followed by a letter, the last letter indicates the year it was registered.

Just be careful as many later landies had old numbers put on them by unscrupulous owners. It should have the windscreen supports on the outer edges of the bulkhead, they should be flat. If its a later one in disguise the windscreen supports will be box shaped and further in from the edge. The instrument dials should be in the centre of the bulkhead, above the gearsticks, not behind the steering wheel. Also the headlights should be in the grille, not on the mudwings and the grille should be steel, not plastic. Just a couple of pointers. Good luck and photos would be sweet.
