Newbie on this forum but have found advice helpful in diagnosing issues with this car and previously owned Disco 2. Some idiot came flying round a bend on the wrong side of the road last night smashing my drivers side door mirror into pieces. Casing smashed to bits and mirror shattered. So annoyed.! The only saving grace is that it must have done some damage to his or her vehicle too. The power fold mechanism actually still works which is surprising. Anyway I'm looking for a drivers side replacement preferably with gold or light silver cap if anyone has one?
Anyone got a drivers side mirror for sale?

Look in the "For sale" part of the forum, you may be lucky.
Alternatively breakers will have them.
Thanks @Stanleysteamer - had a look but as a newbie not allowed to post a wanted ad. I have found a breakers yard locally that has got quite a few but struggling to find the colour match

I knew you wouldn't be able to place an ad, just wanted you to see that you could go there and look to see what is on offer.
If I was you, I'd get one of the ones from a breakers, then fit it so you can drive the car and worry about the colour match later!
You can always get rattle cans of paint and change the colour yourself!

I am happy that he didn't do yet more damage to either your car or you. It looks as if it was a close thing!
I take it you didn't get his number, don't have it on a dash cam and claiming on insurance would not be what you want to do?
