any ideas?

Hi folks, was wondering if any body had any ideas what would cause high/low diff lock selector to go sloppy ? I have a j plate 200tdi defender. Was told that there is a pin/bolt that shears off in transfer box that causes this to happen ? Any ideas please , thanks.

get underneath and check the gear linkage. Before panicking about the transfer box
