any idea on cv joint checking

Driving home tonight sounded like a crunching noise so no its either cv or bearing.

Any tips on checking cv joint.

Bearing is easy enough job to do just want check cv

One test for CV is to do a tight circle clockwise and then anticlockwise respectively preferably against a hill in a safe location , if you hear knocking that is it. the inner circle cv makes the knocking if you know what i mean.
