Hi, had some replies earlier regarding inline fuses for all the bits I've added, my battery is under the seat so does anyone have any pics of their set up of fuses that they have done, think it might help on my own landy

Heres mine on the back of the bulkhead

Looks a mess like that but gets covered up with the radio console we made, the notch is for reverse and the big hole which shows the writing gets covered up with a plate which is removable to get quick access to the fuses

I'm going to draw up a wiring diagram eventually which I'll post up here. The relay holder is a bit of old alliminium shelf that was bent at 90 and had slots cut in it to take the disco relays. You may also notice 2 fuse boxes with just one wired up, this is because I wanted to have a lot of extra space if i need to fit more in the future.

Also the red wires going to the yellow bit are the main feed and the earth is also connected to a bolt going through the bulkhead

I have twin main batteries wired in parallel so 12 volts under the passenger seat, gives me 1100 CCA and 140 amp hours... already had the batteries, they were 2 months old so couldn't justify replacing.. plus they are a perfect fit... a 180 amp tailgate lift solenoid is used to provide a feed to a leisure battery under the drivers seat... this runs the inverter and other odds n sods keeping the vehicle batteries untouched... the solenoid is now connected with a 60 amp maxi fuse holder in case I ever have a short... carling panel is also fed via a maxifuse from the main batteries..

rather than a fusebox I opted for a set of marine carling style switches with built in 12 volt trips... came fully wired and was literally plug n play for a little over £30

carling switches sit alongside a 240 volt socket run from the concealed 1000 watt inverter... comes in very useful at shows... number of times ive needed a drill... disc cutter... mobile phone / laptop power for folks with no car adaptor etc etc all housed in the custom console which also now houses 5 of the 7 gauges at the top, a double din iphone app radio with usb and 12 volt take offs either side.... 12 volt power via the 15 amp carling switch, usb via the 5 amp carling... bank has 3 x 15 amp trips, 3 x 10 amp trips and 2 x 5amp

next job will be to relay direct power to hid headlights, led spots etc... relays are all to be housed in a waterproof pelti case under the bonnet...

cheers steve
