have used the search function, plus google and u tube and cannot really find an answer, I have new link arms and the 2 rubbers, so can I jack up one side at a time to change each side link arm, or should I raise up the whole front on axle stands, also looked in the haynes, but cant find if the link arms need to be torqued to a specific nb

when i did my mondeo before the Freelander i did 1 at a time i also used a grinder and cut the old ones off and just bolted new ones in 10 mins per side if that and job done

You'll need to raise the front to do the arb bushes , the rh s bush easy to get to, lhs bush not as much room to work on, wo rk the bolts 2 per clamp with plenty of releasing fluid can be a pain to get out can easily snap the bolts being well and truly rusted, snapped bolt sub frame off

well, I got both the new link arms in, have left the arb bushes for now, the n/s one that I had been advised about was a bugger to remove, had to cut the bottom nut off, the o/s easy peasey

I can't see why the left would be harder to change than right unless it's just more likely to rust?
At least you are sorted ;)
