Another sunroof problem? and a big thankyou

Hello!!!

although im new to this site i have been reading some of the previous threds for the past couple of weeks and they have helped me sort a hole host of problems with my 1997 P38 from faulty EAS to my electric windows not working. THANKS EVERYONE Its Great here!!!!

When i brought the car a couple of weeks ago lets just say it had a few open issues! the EAS valves were stuck, It was running hot and non of the the electrics were working etc.
I have managed to get the car up and running at a fraction of the cost i first thought by doing the work recommended on here.

One of the problems i cant fix is, the sunroof was stuck open when i collected the car and non of the windows would work. After replacing the center control pannel everything started to work again!!
the problem however is i closed the sunroof manualy by removing the light, when i first got the car to save any damage to the leather and now when i press the button i can here the motor moving but nothing is happening?
does anyone know if itneeds to be reset or anything?

Did you sort the sunroof prob out?
After closing the sunroof manually, did you turn it the other way about 1/4 turn or so, to re-engage the motor?

Yes i did exactly that and it all works fine now,


Im currenty looking at another P38 with a gear box problem? sometimes it will engage gear and sometimes it wont. any ideas?
