Up **** creek.
With the new car tax laws how much will i be paying per year? its a 1996(N) 3.9 V8i XS - however it runs on lpg which should put it into the alternative fuel category and therefor it should fall into the lowest CO2 emmisions bracket and so in theory should be tax free. but somehow i feel it cant be that easy i bet i still have to pay the £185 per year as my car is "pre 2001". also i have no certificate proving my car is zero emissions only my MOT emmisions test printout, would that suffice? can anybody shed any light on this? cheers.

Aye if it's pre 2001 it only goes on the engine size, either above 1500cc or below. You can churn out as much greenhouse gas as yer like. At least till it's MOT time anyway:D

My mates Feb 01 Maserati £ 185 to tax and churns out 350 g/km of carbon !!.

( sorry, made a mistake there. Theres no evidence how much carbon his car emitts, but an Aprill 01 Maserati churns out 350g/km ). ( they,re obviously a different car !! ).
