Good afternoon all. Just a note to introduce myself. Yes you guessed it my name is Steve and I own a series 111 lightweight approx 1976. I am currently in the process of getting it back on the road with various mods and repairs and am always looking for advice and spares! The current state of play is new footwells welded in to good bulkhead and cut back for V8 if and when. The upper vent panel I have remade and just manufactured a plate to go right across ( don't use the vents and they encourage water to lie and rot). The suspension has been changed to parabolics with matching shockers and I have acquired a front brake disc conversion at a very good price which is now mounted to my front axle, all new piping and the addition of a late dual sysyem master cylinder, the rears I have left as standard 10" drums. The front wings have been repaired and remounted, alas all the light units are naff but I have sourced new ones but I am looking for some good condition light boxes as mine have a lot of corrosion. The engine is a 2.5 90 coupled to standard series 111 box, room for improvement here I think. Trying to do this to a budget so its taking its time but hey ho. Your thoughts, suggestions and advice would be most welcome!!:):)
