Hello All,

Hoping you guys can help me...I am new to this thread....I have a Geo Prizm and have a key issue...it isn't the first time either. After coming home from work tonight I go to open my trunk and half of my key breaks off...I am like good I have a spare and I can live without my trunk...Well little did I know that the key that Wal mart duplicated for me WORKS in the doors Works in the trunk (I have tried the trunk before) But it DOES NOT WORK in the ignition....I don't know what the heck to do. I am a poor college student and I can't afford anything over 140 dollars....Just a little more description on the key....My original went in the ignition fine and turned without a problem....my spare however goes in the ignition but won't turn.....Does anyone have words of advice for me so I could get it fixed but not have to quit college to pay for it? Thanks so much

i have to say i wasn't aware that landrover made a george prizm. but if you say they do then who am i to not believe you. ....yer key probelly has a chip in it that sends a signal to another chip in yer ignition. without the chips it can't work, its an anti theft thing.
you could do what i did when i got fed up with me ford key wearin out and that was to install a starter button and ign flick switch
