Afternoon all, I have trawled through dozens of threads before posting, but just wanted to clarify a couple of things.

The bases in my td5 are a little soft and I expect they are well overdue for replacement. The fabric on top is in very good condition but the vinyl on the sides is a bit worn and torn, I'm weighing up just replacing the foam vs buying complete new bases. I would like to add heat mats whilst doing this, I assume the "proper" way is to add another heat mat to the seat back- I also "assume" this is worth doing?!

I'll also be looking at a heated steering wheel at a later date, it sounds a bit woosy I know but I have terrible circulation in my hands and even in a cosy vehicle my fingers are often numb and white in the winter, so looking forward to this!

Finally, the centre cubby box is fitted (badly) with a 6" gap behind, is this normal? It is not excessively close to the gear stick and just looks too short, I could fit a magazine rack in the gap!

Tbh if its cold you normally have a jacket/coat on so the heated back is a bit of a waste of time, its the bum you need to warm up.

I fitted the wire style heated mats to my car ,they are okay but take ages to heat up, mate fitted the carbon heated mats to his car and reckoned they were much better.

Thanks, tips on the best place to get these carbon pads from? I assume they just stick straight on to the foam base before the cover slips on?
