Am I missing something re stalk replacement

Afternoon ,
Loose connection in my control stalk , every time I indicate left or right it catches the full beam slightly and flashes lights , am a bit concerned about this as I don't want anyone in incomming traffic to think I'm letting them past when I'm indicating to turn across a live lane , have been looking at forums re indicator stalks and come across a lot referring to cutting wires and rewiring this and that . Looking at stalks for sale it looks as if they have spade connectors to fuses and a block with pins in that connects directly to other block , am I missing something here ?

Thanks, that's what I was looking at , so what's all this about stripping wires and re wiring things I hear about , why bother with all that ?

depends what they mean ,many series have had the wiring butchered and some like to fit later switches with the wrong wiring connectors

I did mine it was easy.

horn had been rewired by a po and the new stalk fixed that
