HI all a simple question will a 1.8 alternator fit a 2.0 Di, code seem similar, oh by the way its with aircon.

Dont look the same to me - or at least diff part numbers.

Cheers didnt think id be so lucky as to get a cheap 1 from fleabay.....

go to ebay and look for the user id named desm1978 he sells freelander alternators for about £110 plus 10 p+p for a diesel freelander

I got one and it works spot on. the only thing that I found was the D plug was slightly different but I dont know what that would be like on a Di mine is a TD4
