reet , me alts burned out, only 2 years old, the three crimps on the starter solonoid were corroded under the rubber thingy , so i recon its that, as im 99% sure , specialy on the older alts that if yer run the circuit "open" it will **** the diodes etc in the alt,
as thers no resistance

the battery to earth voltage reads 12.45 and the alt to earth reads 12.45 so its not chuckin out a charging voltage between 14 - 15 ish



just holding battery voltage :(
so its a new alt on monday but apart from the connections on the starter sol'nd and engine earths , is the awt else i need to check , as i dunt want to burn another new alt out

i also checked earths between battery and engine with a jump lead, charge light wer still on ,
