Despite gluing it together the HRW switching my Ninety is beyond repair. A new one - YUF101500 - seems to be about £50+ and although I can afford it I think the price is ridiculous and am loathe to pay that for a rarely used item.

After bit of research I found an identical looking switch for a Mini - YUF 101690 - for £10 and the only difference that I can see is the Mini one has 2 prongs and I assume the warning light connections on the sides, whereas the LR one has 3 prongs and no side tabs.

The LR switch should have a W fused feed and two W/G outs, one to the warning lamp and one to the relay.

Although the wiring colours to mine are a thick G/W feed and the two thin W/G outs.

If I take the W/G to the lamp and connect it to one of the tabs on the switch for the Mini, earthing the other the other tab, do you think it will work?

Thank you in advance.

Buckley bRos did advertise for about £15 but on indefinite back order.

Can't find them at Foundry4x4 either.
Alt p/n PRC4433 and YUF101600 both NLA.

@capo , to answer your electrical Q?, yes it will work. It's only a switch supplying 12v trigger to the HRW relay. The side connectors for switch bulb are all the same for these type of Lucas switches, used in a wide range of cars/classic cars.

If you ever need a new HRW switch for your Ninety/One Ten (YUF101500) and aren't prepared to pay £50++, one for a Classic Mini (YUF101680) for £10 works fine. Looks good and just have to mod the warning lamp wiring to fit the side tabs.

if it was mine, i'd just use a regular switch and put a relay behind it (i assume its a power issue that makes it expensive)

Fair do’s ;) I hadn’t thought of that.
It is rather cramped behind the panel as there is a relay for the dome light-cdl connection and a fuse for each set of indicators.
Anyway job done and it works.
