Allmakes 4x4 products worse than Britpart?

Now on the second door handle, both of which have dropped to pieces before fitting them. Not happy.

Roll pin that holds it together seems too short, when you press the button on the outside it drops to pieces.

Anyone else had problems with their products (Allmakes).

Britpart ones have been fine for me...mostly.
On one, the pin and spring turned to a rusty mess and broke, took 10 yrs to happen though.
On another, the thread insert came loose and I couldn't remove it easily. Cheap though so no real biggy.

I recon many Britpart items have improved in recent times. I had an Allmakes door latch last year that lasted about six weeks.

At least it isn't a daily driver, at the moment, so it has only slowed me down in the door rebuild of the project, but I hate buying something that is below standard quality.

Allmakes, bearmach and britpart are just branded importers. Half the time they use the same cheap Chinese product. They are all the same. Doesn’t mean they don’t make some good products.

Same problem with the all makes door handle. I used liquid steel on the end of the pin so it could fall out anymore. The original was a split tube that didnt fit in the all makes one

split tube is that not a roll-pin good job they don't work to a tolerance of 10 micron on a sunny day they would be perfect
hit the British shore line and they would fall apart O E M should that not be OI M Overseas Imported Model .
got a britpar or should that start with an Sh series 1 front drive shaft machined that badly could not turn the front wheel it was that bad ,made a good rivet clamp

I've had three parts from Allmakes:-

1) 300 Tdi crankshaft seal - failed in short order - actually broke up, letting oil into the timing case, and so needed a new belt too

2) front brake calipers - they were crap IMHO

3) serpy belt - as above.

No more allmakes sh*t for me, thank you very much
