Hi All,
I have finally got round to introducing myself, I've had a Disco TDI200 for 6 months. I've been using the forum quite a bit for help with my Lanie probs. CHEERS FOR ALL YOUR HELP SO FAR!
I live and work in Wiltshire, decided to finally get a landie after having to borrow a mates to drag a load of cars out of a field (at my cousans wedding party) they were mostly BMW's... there is something very satisfying about pushing a plush bmw and it's (now not so) big headed driver out of mud and with such ease.
I have taken my Disco on many greenlanes and some seriously heavy off-roading, but I got stuck in a swamp (in the middle of nowhere) a few months ago, had to wait 3 hours for a suzuki to pull me out (not a great moment) it was also -4 and dark - haven't been out properly 4x4'ing since... Have spent the time fixing my landie up good and proper, but you fix one problem and another comes along.
Seem to spend a lot more time fixing it than driving it... starting to wish I'd bought an MOT failed for £300 off ebay rather than pay £1500 for a clean road worthy one.
Over and out
Tom
