Alarming lack of installers

As I draw near the end of my 90 refurbishment thoughts turned to a quality alarm system only to find very few alarm install companies now in existence (here in county Durham anyway), does anyone have positive experiences with installers (may be a national franchise) that I can make enquiries with ?
Any assistance welcomed

I have one of these fitted to my daily driver as the factory fitted Sigma car alarm/immobiliser is very poor and often fails. A quick search on their site http://www.clifford.co.uk/Where_To_Buy_SmartStart.html shows there's a mobile installer in Stockton called

The Clifford system is very effective and can be set up to provide very 'tight' alarm/immobiliser security
 
People generally ignore car alarms, I know I do. Save your money and put it toward a tracker....at least you may get it back when someone takes it.
 
I know I wouldn't ignore my alarm going off I do have "other" security features, the alarm is an efficient way to get the central locking to operate with a fob
 
The lack of installers is due to the lack of cars on our roads that dont come with alarms out of the factory.
