Hi,
My TD5 110 was recently in the garage for a week with the battery out. The alarm worked fine when it when in (but the interior lights did not work). When I go it back, I changed all the door switches and the interior bulbs. Now, I cannot activate the alarm. I get 2 beeps (door open). If I take the passenger door switch out of the A pillar, I get 3 beeps if I hold the plunger by hand. If I leave it in the door pillar, I get 2 beeps. Anyone know what the 3 beeps on arming means? Probably connected but if I turn the interior light to switched (comes on with door), it take 10 minutes or so to go back off. I believe the driver door switch is OK as the red LED on the dashboard comes on when I open the door if the alarm is not activated but the immobiliser is (automatic mode). I am checking for earth shorts but none found so far. Cheers.
Update:- Have narrowed it down to the passenger door switch. If I remove the passenger door switch, it all works, if I connect it again, it stops working. It can't be a short as that is what the switch is designed to do. It is a new switch, and I do not think the wires are causing the problem. Any thoughts?
