Hello Forum,

Recently i let the Battery go flat on my 90 Vogue SE.

After recharging the Battery, once reconnected. I tried to start it, the alarm sounded. Is there a way of resetting the alarm?? I have heard of remedies where you unlock and lock several times and this works. How much truth is there in this?

Please, can anyone help

Regards

The owner's handbook will tell you how to reset the alarm. I had an LSE and the key method was the way to reset, but you need to know the vehicle security code. Sorry I cant help with the actual method, as the manual went with the car.
geoff:)

Found This,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif] Start with ignition off, doors closed, hood closed. Then, all within 8 seconds, turn ignition on, turn ignition off, lock the doors, unlock the doors, open the hood, turn the ignition on, turn the ignition off.
(Really quite simple - leave the left front window down and the hood up. Use your left hand to hold the hood switch in and your right hand to lock & unlock the doors using the button, and to turn the key on and off).
This did nothing! I have no idea what this procedure is for, but it failed to get my remote to activate the car alarm. I then hit on the idea of powering down the alarm brain by pulling the fuse, which solved the problem
Hope this helps.
John
I think the alarm fuse may be C37 but don't blame me if it's not :D
