Got 2 new remote keys from Classic Rides North Wales (Cracking service and communication, recommended) all synched with the car after being patient enough for the full 5 minutes of the process.
Original key 4 that was the only one we got is now retired to spare status due to iffy buttons, etc.
New keys work perfectly - sometimes another unlock press to clear the engine disabled message, but that is us just being too slow getting in and starting it I think. Today in the light, lock or superlock from the key has been fine, acts just as it should with a light flash, no beeps.
Last night after the incident below, every time I locked the car, a loud chirp from the alarm system, not popular with the neighbours at about 1am! What is / can cause this? Not had any luck with a search of the forum.
Last night - got back home in the Ford Fusion everyday runabout. Deadlocked it on the remote as usual, noticed that the Range Rover responded by turning on the courtesy lights inside and the ignition lock surround. No other lights, not unlocked.
Lights didn't go out after a wait, nor on a lock on the remote, nor an unlock / lock cycle. Only by opening it up and manually turning them off, then locking the car again. Any ideas what was going on? Never seen it do that before, assume it was some sort of interference, but seems odd to trigger some things and not others. Would be a pain if locking one unlocked the other though!
