air lock

how do i get rid of a air lock in me rad , just put new water pump on , filled rad up ( i did have the nut off on top of the rad ) been driving around bout half hour , top hose still cold

i just let mine tick over with the expansion tank cap off, until it got up to normal operating temp.
worked for me.

try squeezing the top hose a few times with the filler cap off. this should pump the air out.

If running it with the cap of doesn't get rid of it (it should) or squeezing top hose, try and borrow a radiator pressure tester (a pump with a fitting which goes on to the rad cap - probs need to use an adaptor on a LR, and use it on the expansion tank, it pressures it up to check for leaks - but removes air locks etc aswell. Just a thought, may not work on a LR rad?
