The exhaust snapped above the axle melting the air lines that go above the chassis along the rear axle. Does anyone have a link to the diagram of this as the line to the offside bag looks ok as this is fed along the chassis down the offside. There looks to be another line on the offside that goes over the chassis cross member and to the other side. Is this to the other bag ?

The offside line goes down the nearside and across to the offside bag. The line for the nearside goes down the offside and across to the nearside bag.

There is definitely 2 lines running down the off side at the rear wheelarch

What year is your car? The run may have changed when the new brake pipe layout was introduced. But on mine registered 1999 made 1998 that is how they run. May also be different on twin rear exhaust models mine is twin back box. Maybe different on petrols but can't see why it would be. Is one not a fuel return?

Mine had both running down the passenger side and when my exhaust melted the pipe that crosses to.the os couldn't really see it as it runs over the top of a small cross member. I had to disconnect it from.the os bag and pull the pipe out to see the split. Mine had been repaired before and had 3 joins between the nsr wheelarch and os bag!!

Just looked at Rave and theres nothing showing the pipe layout.
My back is just about up to the task of taking off the rear boxes. So will take a good look at it tomorrow. Its already been repaired once so with a bit of luck its a quick fix

Pipes ran down passenger side to rear wheelarch then crossed over.
Not on my car they don't. O/S runs down top of N/S chassis then crosses over above and behind tank same as N/S brake pipe does, then goes forwards to fit in the O/S bag. N/S runs down top of O/S chassis and crosses over opposite to O/S pipe then turns and goes forwards to fit in the N/S bag. They are clipped together and to the chassis cross member where they cross above and behind the tank as is the brake pipe. And also have clip positions where they then come forwards to fit into bags. There are obviously variations.

Good for you. As I said in my first post on MINE both pipes are in the nsr wheelarch.

Of course, there are two pipes in both rear wheel arches. One coming from the other side into the bag and one going to the other side to the opposite bag. They do pass each other along the top of the chassis under the wheel aches. I suggest you look at the layout of the harness in Microcat. It is not a particularly good illustration but does give some idea. But you carry on i know nothing about the EAS system do i? Obviously Land rover must have developed a special one off harness for your car. Oh yeah and also know what you are talking about before spouting shit.

Don't by shy Tony, tell it like it is :D:D:D

My comments referred to the pipes in the wheelarch although that appears not clear in my previous posts. I was just stating what I saw when my mine played up not on the entire routing of the pipes. Apologies for any upset caused.

Good afterforenoon Alan. Just finished replacing lower and upper N/S swivel hub ball joints on the car ready for MOT in Octember. My home made LRT-54-006 worked like a dream. Other side to do but that is ok at present, will have to wait until i stop hurting, maybe next summer. :D:D:D
