Hi all!,
I'm new to this site and I need your help,
Just brought a 3.9 300 disco and its lacking a bit of power.
So first thing I checked is the airflow meter (I knew these can be a problem)
On inspection i found that on top of the meter there is a port (with nothing connected) and its full of silicone.
Im thinking this is a quick fix for a faulty meter, what should i do? buy a replacement or take out the silicone and try that?
Many many thanks,

Have a look at this mate, i think the "port" you mention may be the adjuster:

this page helped me confirmed which bits work to help with an idling issue I have in the V8 section!!

Fuel injection

Thanks for your help, can't think why there's silicone in the adjuster - obviously broken at some point. Best to just change it I think
Oh and l live in Devon
Thanks for the help people :)

I have just realised that the silcone is because its been adjusted at some point and ensures it not adjusted again!

Thanks to cox325 for the link, the info was amazing!
Cheers
