Hi all - I had the blend motors / orings replaced in my 4.6 at the tail-end of last year. Since then, I have had an increasingly common (ie daily) fault in which the chequebook sign (sorry, I mean hand-book sign) appears in the HEVAC display, with the fault being that the air distribution buttons don't change the airflow at all (although they light up). The chap that fitted the blend motor suggested that it's probably the HEVAC unit itself, so I have bought a replacement but not had time to fit. My question is, are the blend motors the same units that control the air distribution, or do they just control the hot/cool air blend from left to right in the car? Or do they control the actual air distribution too, regardless of air temperature settings? The book symbol comes on pretty much immediately after starting the car if that's any help. I've actually gone from loving my RR to hating it - I've spent more money on this thing than I ever did on my Alfa - who says Italian cars are the most unreliable?! Thanks for any help.
